Carly Posey is a nationally recognized speaker and passionate advocate for school safety and community preparedness, a path ignited by the harrowing experience of December 14, 2012, when two of her four children were present during the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy. Witnessing her youngest son’s escape and her daughter’s hiding while her older children endured a nearby school lockdown deeply impacted Carly and fueled her dedication to strengthening safety protocols and emergency responses for schools, districts, first responders, and communities nationwide.
Leveraging her personal experience and over two decades of business ownership, where she led a team of over 50 employees, Carly transitioned into impactful leadership roles within the safety and security sector. She currently serves as the Vice President of RedBag under AED Everywhere. Her previous positions include Mission Director at The “I Love U Guys” Foundation, where she led reunification and crisis response efforts, Executive Director of the nationally recognized anonymous reporting program Safe2Tell, and Program Director for Anderson Software, focusing on public safety communication. Known for her dynamic and relatable speaking style, Carly effectively translates complex safety concepts into actionable strategies. Residing in Colorado with her husband, Dave, and their four children, she remains a driving force in advancing school and community safety.
